Tesla is quietly taking over the Philippines’ electric vehicle market, with over 2,000 Teslas now registered nationwide less than a year after its official launch in November 2024. The milestone marks a rapid acceleration in EV adoption, powered by Tesla’s aggressive incentives and charging expansion across the country.
To entice more Filipino drivers, Tesla has launched new perks for the Model Y — the world’s best-selling car — including a free one-year comprehensive insurance package.
The Model Y, priced from ₱2,369,000, offers up to 600 km of range and more than 2,130 liters of cargo space. Through Tesla’s preferred bank partners, customers can drive one home for as low as ₱38,810 a month, or roughly ₱1,152 a day.
Tesla says it is building an ecosystem to make EV ownership “effortless.” The company has installed three Supercharging stations with 12 high-speed chargers, five Destination Charging sites, and over 2,000 home chargers nationwide. A single 15-minute Supercharge can add up to 283 km of range.
The automaker also unveiled its Green Mobility and Refer-and-Earn programs, rewarding both eco-conscious corporations and loyal customers who help fuel Tesla’s growth in the Philippines.
