ANTA’s SHOCK 4 Tournament in the Philippines has expanded significantly this year, featuring eight legs from Pampanga to Davao.
The tournament’s third season introduced a four-point line, aligning with the Philippine Basketball Association’s new rules for its 49th season.
Four collegiate players—Jommel Puno, Steve Nash Enriquez, Lauren Lopez, and Rey Remogat—have been selected to showcase their talents.
Puno, a rookie champion, emphasizes the importance of improvement as he aims for a repeat title.
Enriquez, now the main playmaker for National University, fosters a “no expectations” mindset among teammates.
Lopez, transitioning to the senior ranks, aims to bring a fresh perspective to her team.
Remogat, a Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 representative, focuses on maintaining a strong work ethic despite a non-playing year.
The athletes appreciate the opportunity to represent ANTA, which supports their growth on and off the court.
The tournament concludes with the National Finals on August 18 at the Filoil EcoOil Arena, where top teams will compete for ANTA basketball footwear.
