UNO Digital Bank achieved consecutive wins by acquiring the Open Banking Initiative of the Year at the Asia Banking and Finance (ABF) Awards and being named “Digital Banker of the Year in Asia Pacific” at the World Digital Bank Awards 2023.

ABF recognized UNO Digital Bank for its innovative work in open banking and dedication to financial inclusion as the company continues to offer customers simpler, better, and more convenient financial services.

Due to the success of its collaboration with one of the top mobile wallet services in the nation, GCash, which has 81 million registered Filipino customers, UNO Digital Bank was named the winner of the Open Banking Initiative of the Year award.

Through this partnership, clients could open high-rate interest-earning savings and time deposit accounts at UNO Digital Bank using the GCash App.

One significant accomplishment of the project was the streamlining of the electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) procedure, which made it possible for verified GCash customers to quickly open a UNO account and gain access to the company’s goods and services.

UNO Digital Bank in GSave was first made available for Closed User Group testing in December 2022, and on March 8, 2023, it was smoothly transferred to its public launch.
