Global Dominion has officially expanded GLOW (Giving Limitless Opportunities to Women), a dedicated financing and community initiative designed to bridge the structural lending gap facing women-led small and medium enterprises across the Philippines.
The nationwide expansion builds on the company’s long-term commitment to female entrepreneurs by consolidating multi-year support initiatives into a single structured program. In the Philippines, women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises represent an estimated 66% of all MSMEs.
However, only about 4% have formal access to bank financing—a stark disparity driven by rigid lending criteria, strict collateral demands, systemic gender bias, and cumbersome documentation requirements.
“Women have always been the backbone of so many Filipino businesses and households, yet too many have had to grow without the financial support they deserve. GLOW is our way of changing that narrative,” said Global Dominion President and CEO Samuel Cariño. “This is more than a loan product. It’s a commitment to walk alongside every Filipina entrepreneur we serve, because growth is never a solo climb — it takes a community to GLOW.”
At the core of the initiative is the GLOW Loan, tailored specifically to fit the operational reality of women-owned enterprises. Funding is structured for direct commercial purposes, including working capital, equipment procurement, real estate or vehicle purchases, and general business expansion. The product is available to both new applicants and existing account renewals.
Eligibility covers a broad spectrum of ownership structures:
- Sole proprietorships owned by women
- Partnerships with at least one woman partner
- Corporations where a woman serves as a director, stockholder, or authorized representative
To address common barriers to loan approval, GLOW introduces expanded underwriting criteria. Established business owners can supplement enterprise revenue with verified income from personal employment or overseas remittances. Additionally, the program allows co-borrowing structures involving spouses, common-law partners, or immediate family members under specific conditions, ensuring technicalities in property or business ownership do not automatically disqualify applicants.
Beyond capital access, the initiative operates the GLOW Community, a structured network connecting women across every operational stage, from aspiring founders to established enterprise executives. Global Dominion executives and partners serve as pioneer members of the network, with future planned program expansions including a GLOW Summit, GLOW Awards, and a GLOW Expo.
Membership provides participants with a structured suite of growth resources:
- Exclusive financial programs and promotional rates
- Free business development and skill-building workshops
- Dedicated networking sessions and enterprise opportunities
- Direct mentorship from industry experts
- Profile features across program media channels
- Community service and local outreach initiatives
“We built GLOW around how women actually run their businesses, and around the belief that access to capital should come with access to community,” said Global Dominion enterprise division general manager Eleanor Yap. “That’s the promise we’re making, and one we intend to keep,” she added.
The GLOW program is now operational across Global Dominion’s nationwide network.
