The Thai Trade Center Manila is establishing its first official presence at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2026, launching an interactive cultural and literary showcase titled “Melody of Books” for Filipino readers from September 9 to 13.
Organized under the Department of International Trade Promotion within the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, the pavilion represents the country’s inaugural participation in the annual exhibition. The setup will occupy Booths 2-48, 2-49, 2-54, and 2-55 on Level 2 of the SMX Convention Center Manila.
The exhibit centers on prominent Thai literary works integrated with hands-on activities that highlight the country’s heritage, traditions, and contemporary creative industries. Designed for students, families, and general readers, the pavilion aims to expand public engagement with Thai stories and creative media beyond print.
“Our debut at the Manila International Book Fair marks an exciting opportunity to bring Thailand and the Philippines closer through the universal language of stories. We hope ‘Melody of Books’ inspires Filipinos to discover Thailand from a new perspective and strengthens the cultural connections shared by our two countries.” – Sutinee Vathana, Director of Thai Trade Center Manila.
