Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is enhancing the banking experience for Huawei users by offering more options to streamline their transactions through its mobile app, now accessible on the HUAWEI AppGallery.

Commencing on February 9, 2024, Huawei users can easily download the BPI app from the HUAWEI AppGallery, granting them the flexibility of mobile banking at their fingertips, anytime and anywhere. The BPI app empowers users to manage their accounts, transfer funds, settle bills, and more, all conveniently from their mobile devices.

Fitzgerald Chee, Head of Consumer Platforms at BPI, expressed, “The official BPI app on HUAWEI AppGallery provides users with access to all our features, enabling them to transact conveniently, efficiently, and securely from any location. This launch expands our reach to more customers and reinforces our commitment to being their trusted financial partner. We are dedicated to continuously improving the BPI app to meet their evolving needs.”

In addition to everyday banking activities, the BPI app facilitates cashless payments by allowing users to make in-store and restaurant payments through QR Ph codes. The app prioritizes security by offering features like Mobile Key for online transaction approvals, setting transaction limits, and enabling biometric authorizations.

Huawei users can further benefit from BPI’s Track & Plan feature within the app. This innovative personal finance management tool leverages AI-powered insights based on users’ spending and saving behaviors. Unlike generic financial advice found in other apps, Track & Plan tailors recommendations based on actual usage of the BPI app, making it more personalized and actionable for users.

Chee emphasized, “Through our digitalization efforts, we aim to revolutionize customer interactions and experiences. The availability of the BPI app on HUAWEI AppGallery underscores BPI’s commitment to providing a convenient and secure financial app for daily use while supporting inclusive online banking for Filipinos.”

The introduction of the BPI app on AppGallery is welcomed by Huawei’s 7 million customer base in the Philippines.

Peter Peng, CEO of Huawei Philippines Consumer Business Group, stated, “We stand united with BPI in their mission to serve every Filipino as consumers are at the core of Huawei’s endeavors. Huawei ensures that its products and solutions meet consumer needs. We are thrilled to announce that the BPI app is now accessible on HUAWEI AppGallery. This integration allows BPI to connect swiftly and securely with more Filipino users online.”
