Indonesia will enforce anti-dumping import duties on nylon film from China, Thailand, and Taiwan starting this month, lasting for four years.
The duties will range from 1,254 rupiah to 31,510 rupiah ($0.076-$1.92) per kilogram, targeting specific companies, including China’s Kunshan Yuncheng Plastic Industry, Yuncheng Heshan New Material, and Thailand’s AJ Plast.
All companies from Taiwan will face the duty, according to the regulation issued by the finance ministry.
The decision follows an investigation by Indonesia’s anti-dumping committee, which found the imports caused losses to local industries.
Nylon film is widely used in food packaging, industrial applications, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and textiles.
China remains Indonesia’s largest trade partner.
