LinkedIn has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines to tackle the country’s education and workforce challenges.
The initiative will provide over 200,000 public school teachers with access to LinkedIn Learning courses aligned with the Philippines Professional Standards for Educators, focusing on creative thinking, data analytics, and digital skills.
DepEd will also use LinkedIn Talent Insights to inform curriculum design for Grades 11 and 12, ensuring students develop in-demand skills for the evolving job market.
With LinkedIn’s data showing job skills in the Philippines will shift by 70% by 2030, the partnership aims to equip educators with essential technical and soft skills to prepare job-ready graduates.
DepEd plans to introduce “LinkedIn 101” training for senior high school students, teaching them how to optimize their profiles, build networks, and increase their chances of securing jobs.
This collaboration supports the Philippines’ efforts to enhance education, close skill gaps, and empower both educators and students for success in an AI-driven workforce.
