Mastercard has partnered with Paynamics Technologies Inc. to launch Click to Pay in the Philippines, offering a faster, password-free, and allegedly ‘secure’ online checkout experience.
Click to Pay allows users to skip typing card details by centralizing payment info in a single profile that merchants can integrate into their platforms with Mastercard’s security backing.
Paynamics’ partners—spanning retail, e-commerce, telcos, real estate, education, finance, and even government—can now use this system to reduce cart abandonment and failed transactions.
The technology is built on EMVCo standards and boasts support from all major card networks to ensure global compatibility and payment security via tokenization.
Mastercard claims the move aligns with the BSP’s push for digital transformation, financial inclusion, and an illusion of a safer cashless society.
E-commerce players, subscription apps, travel platforms, and marketplaces are the target beneficiaries of this effort to make online transactions as lazy as possible.
Interested merchants are advised to email Paynamics directly, because nothing screams ‘frictionless’ like having to send an email first.
