“I believe sport is one of the most powerful ways to express values such as  excellence, integrity, and respect. On a field or a court, people from different  backgrounds, cultures, and abilities come together under the same rules and with  the same goals. That shared space creates a heightened sense of connection and  focus, reminding us of the discipline, commitment and intensity that define sports  at its highest level.” – Pierpaolo Piccioli

In a reflection of the centrality of the body to Balenciaga’s philosophy of dress and  the dynamic energy and collective spirit inherent to basketball, Creative Director  Pierpaolo Piccioli, and the Maison today announced a collaboration with the  National Basketball Association (NBA) on a limited-edition capsule collection.

Comprising key apparel pieces, footwear and accessories and small leather goods  for all genders, the BALENCIAGA I NBA COLLABORATION launches as an exclusive  release available from today January 15th, 2026 in Balenciaga select stores and on  Balenciaga.com.

A professional basketball league comprised of 30 teams across North America  founded in 1946, the NBA is celebrated as home to the greatest basketball players  in the world. The collection champions Balenciaga ready-to-wear archetypes,  sports-inspired silhouettes and volumes synonymous with the house with an  awareness of the body at their core.

It also continues a contemporary Balenciaga  tradition of unique and unexpected collaborations with major cultural institutions  with global resonance and influence.

The BALENCIAGA I NBA COLLABORATION offers basketball-infused items, imbued  with the identity of the Maison. Long and short-sleeved t-shirts, tracksuits, varsity  and coach jackets are presented in traditional fabrications of leather, nylon satin  and regenerative cotton poplin, as well as Japanese denim. The pieces are marked  with the number 10 – le dix, taken from the address on Paris’ Avenue George V of  the historic home of the Maison Balenciaga.

The BALENCIAGA I NBA COLLABORATION’s primary palette of electric blue, scarlet  and white is inspired by the tricolor of the NBA logo, devised in 1969. It is combined  with black, a color synonymous with the Maison then and now, while pieces feature  the NBA logo juxtaposed with the marque and typography of the house.
