Roxanne Jamora of Agdao earned a spot in the grand finals of LG xboom IDOL 2026 after scoring 97.58% at the Mindanao elimination leg on September 12, 2026, held at the EMCOR Atrium in Bajada.
Co-presented by LG Electronics Philippines and EMCOR, the event brought together local pop talent to compete before a live audience while showcasing the LG xboom Stage 501 sound system.
Jamora emerged as the LG xboom IDOL 2026 Mindanao Grand Finalist among a field that stood out out of 18 original applicants. Out of 10 selected semi-finalists, eight took the stage to deliver live vocal and dance performances.
Top performers and prizes
The Mindanao leg concluded with three main standouts:
- 1st Place (Mindanao Grand Finalist): Roxanne Jamora (Agdao) — Awarded a trophy, certificate, an LG xboom Stage 501, and Php 5,000 in cash.
- Runners-up: Merry Grace Simbajon (Digos) and Cristine Joyce “CJ” Bunao (Tanza).
- Other semi-finalists: Honored with medals, certificates, LG xboom Minis, and Php 2,000 in cash.
The competition host, OOO, also provided an intermission performance during the program, while 10 audience members won LG xboom Minis in a live raffle.
Road to the grand finals
The nationwide talent search aims to discover singers and dancers across the Philippines, offering a prize package for the ultimate winners:
- 1st Place overall: Php 100,000 and a trip for two to Seoul, South Korea.
- 2nd Place: Php 50,000 and a 55-inch LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV.
- 3rd and 4th Place: Php 20,000 and a 50-inch LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV each.
- 5th Place: Php 10,000 and a 50-inch LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV.
“Through LG xboom IDOL, we want to create more opportunities for aspiring performers to be seen, heard, and celebrated,” said Yongwoo Park, Media Solutions Product Director, LG Electronics Philippines. “It’s our way of bringing people closer to music while showing how LG xboom can make every performance feel more alive, more shared, and more memorable.”
The competition moves to its next leg on October 11, 2026, at Ayala Malls Manila Bay to select the next round of finalists.
