Filipino families can now open Disney-themed savings accounts for children across all Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) branches nationwide, following the launch of the bank’s new youth financial education initiative.

The nationwide rollout comes on the heels of the “Discover the Magic of Saving: BPI Jumpstart” launch event held on August 1–2 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City. The program seeks to address a broader financial inclusion gap in the Philippines, where currently only 21% of citizens hold a bank account.

Designed primarily for children aged 7 to 12—with eligibility extended up to 17 years old—the BPI Jumpstart account combines traditional banking features with interactive tools to teach patience, consistency, and goal-setting.

Parents opening an account for their children at any BPI branch receive a package of learning materials, including:

• Disney-themed Jumpstart account sleeves
• The physical Jumpstart book
• Access to the Jumpstart web application

These tools demonstrate how consistent, small saving habits help young savers achieve long-term goals.

“Seeing families learn, play, and talk about saving together was exactly what we envisioned for Jumpstart,” said Ginbee Go, Head of Consumer Banking at BPI. “We believe that financial education is most effective when it starts early and becomes part of everyday conversations at home. Through our collaboration with Disney, we’re making those first lessons more relatable, enjoyable, and memorable for children.”

The initiative marks the first large-scale collaboration between Disney and a Philippine bank, merging financial literacy concepts with character-driven storytelling. The initial two-day launch in Makati featured interactive installations and learning activities before expanding to all physical branches nationwide.

The Jumpstart program is part of BPI’s broader series of 175th anniversary initiatives focused on advancing financial inclusion and early financial education across the country.
