Global cyber capacity building initiative goes live
CREST has launched the Cyber Accelerated Maturity Programme (CREST CAMP) to enhance global cyber security capabilities.
This initiative, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), aims to support cyber security service providers in various countries.
CREST CAMP will operate from September 2024 to March 2025, focusing on nations like Armenia, Ghana, and Malaysia.
The program emphasizes mentorship and training, guiding companies through the CREST Accreditation Pathway.
This strategic shift acknowledges the private sector’s vital role in national security, traditionally overlooked in funding initiatives.
CREST CEO Nick Benson highlighted the importance of collaboration among member companies to improve global cyber standards.
The launch occurred during the Wilton Park Dialogue on September 17, 2024, showcasing CREST’s commitment to building sustainable cyber ecosystems.
Additionally, CREST CAMP will offer training resources to enhance local capacities and address the cyber skills gap.
This initiative represents a crucial step toward strengthening global cyber resilience and fostering professional growth in the industry.
