Manulife Investments Philippines Ranks Among Top Equity and Fixed Income UITFs

·

Manulife Investment Management and Trust Corporation (Manulife Investments Philippines), the local asset management arm of leading international financial services provider Manulife, ranked among the top-performing Philippine peso-denominated unit investment trust funds (UITFs) across three categories based on fund performance from January 1 to September 30, 2026.

Manulife Investments secured leading positions across three UITF categories, including the top three spots in Feeder Fund – Equity and the top spot in both Equity and Feeder Fund – Fixed Income, underscoring the strength and breadth of its investment offerings.

“Filipinos invest to achieve different financial goals, from building wealth and preparing for future milestones to meeting their needs today. Our range of UITFs provides investment choices for different financial goals, needs, and risk appetites,” said Aira Gaspar, President and Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Investments Philippines. “We want to help more Filipinos invest with confidence and make informed decisions that support their long-term financial goals.”

“Our funds’ strong performance reflects the breadth of strategies we make available to investors,” Gaspar added. “By drawing on global expertise, we help investors find solutions that address their evolving financial needs and goals.”

Leading equity performance

Manulife Investments Philippines secured the top three positions in the Feeder Fund – Equity category:

In the separate Equity category, Manulife Asia Best Select Equity Fund (PHP Unhedged Class A) secured the top position among retail share classes with a return of 38.01%.  The fund invests in a diversified portfolio of companies listed across Asian markets, excluding Japan.

Strong showing in fixed income

Manulife Investments Philippines also held the top position in the Feeder Fund – Fixed Income category. The Manulife Asia Short Duration Bond Feeder Fund (PHP Unhedged Class A) ranked first with a 6.36% return. The fund focuses on high-quality Asian bonds that mature in less than 3 years.

These funds form part of Manulife Investments Philippines’ broader range of UITFs, giving investors more ways to participate in local and global markets. Investors can open a UITF account online through Manulife iFUNDS, a secure digital platform for managing UITF investments.
